Guy J. Pratte, C.M.

Guy J. Pratte is a preeminent appellate and trial advocate and a Senior Counsel at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG). He was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2022.

A member of both the Ontario and the Quebec bars, fluently bilingual in French and English, he pleads regularly before the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before the Appeal and Superior Courts of Ontario and Québec and the Federal Court of Canada and Federal Court of Appeal.

Guy's practice is focused on commercial litigation, administrative law and constitutional law. It includes class actions where he has acted as lead trial counsel in some of the largest cases in Canada.
